Hereford Cathedral School pupils and staff said a fond farewell to Mrs Helen Kemble-Davies, after 30 years of dedicated service in the HCS Medical Room.
Better known as ‘Matron’, Mrs Kemble-Davies has been a dependable presence in Old Deanery, offering medical care, support and gentle encouragement to the pupils who have knocked on her door over the past three decades.
Earlier this week, Deputy Head of School, Ed M, delivered a touching speech during Chapel, in which he paid tribute to Mrs Kemble-Davies' "friendly and compassionate nature and devotion towards her work".
We wish Mrs Kemble-Davies all the very best for her retirement. She has definitely earned it!
