Crest

Rowing this season has been dogged by ill luck. In the first
place, the height of the river prevented rowing for three weeks
or more, with the result that the beginners have not had
sufficient practice to enable them to get a good start, and the
Trial Fours had to be scratched. As soon as rowing was
beginning to settle down after the weather, the epidemic of
influenza broke out, and the School Regatta, originally arranged
for March 21st, also had to be abandoned.
In conclusion, I should to like to thank H. B. Tanner for
his valuable assistance in coxing crews. J.H.B.D
